David Thompson was born in Sheffield, the son of a talented amateur photographer. After Art School, where he was a contemporary with Tracy Emin, he began his career with the National Portrait Gallery Award. International commissions from Condé Nast, The New York Times and advertising clients soon followed. His work has also appeared frequently in Amica, and French Marie-Claire, and has been recognised in several prestigious award schemes and exhibitions. He specialises in iconic studio fashion and beauty work, and authentic daylight portraiture.
